Amir joined the Toor Lab in 2015 and is a graduate student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the University of Iowa. His research activities involve design, fabrication, and testing of novel nanophotonic devices for energy applications.

Honors and awards: 2012-2013 FOE (Faculty of Engineering) Award for ranking 3rd among all Telecommunications Engineering students at the University of Tabriz
